Several Ukrainian regions have been hit by Kalibr missiles with cluster warheads.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“In several regions, strikes by Kalibr missiles with cluster munitions were recorded, and they targeted civilian infrastructure. These cluster munitions make it much more difficult for our rescuers and power engineers to eliminate the consequences of the strike, and this is a very vile escalation of Russian terrorist tactics,” Zelensky said.
The President also emphasized once again that air defense systems are needed now in Ukraine, where they save lives, and not at storage bases.
“This is especially true in winter, when the primary task is to protect infrastructure from targeted Russian attacks. We are working tirelessly with our partners to get more defense equipment, and now, more than ever, timely delivery and fulfillment of all agreements, in particular on air defense systems, are important,” Zelensky added.
