Ukraine signed agreements in the Drone Deal format with the Netherlands and Denmark. The new agreements open up more opportunities for joint defense production, technology development and exchange of expertise.

This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

During the meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten, the parties discussed decisions that will help protect lives.

“Undoubtedly, Europe needs its own anti-ballistics so that the European way of life is fully protected. We discussed what has already been done with partners in this direction,” Zelenskyy noted.

The agreement on cooperation in the field of drones signed with the Netherlands will provide more opportunities for joint production and technology development, as well as consistency in the exchange of expertise and arms exports.

Separately, Zelenskyy reported the signing of an agreement in the Drone Deal format with Denmark.

“This is already the ninth such agreement for Ukraine, and it is important that more and more partners are joining this format, which opens up more opportunities for joint defense production, exchange of expertise, and transparency in arms exports,” the president said.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine, together with its partners, is building a new security architecture. He thanked Denmark and Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen for this step in strengthening joint defense.

The president noted that it was with Denmark that Ukraine began joint production in Ukraine under the Danish model. According to him, Denmark will now have access to Ukrainian exports of weapons tested by war.

During the meeting with the Prime Minister of Denmark, the parties also discussed strengthening Ukrainian air defense and work on European anti-ballistics.

“It is very important for us now to receive missiles for Patriot as quickly as possible and together develop our own European capabilities to protect against ballistic threats,” Zelenskyy said.

The president thanked Denmark for its constant support for Ukraine — defense, financial, as well as for contributions to the PURL program.
