On October 18, Russia launched 463 strike drones of various types against Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense forces neutralized 418 of them, with the interception rate reaching 90.28%.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian forces used Shahed-131/136/238, Parodiya, Gerbera, Banderol/Dan-T and Italmas drones.
The General Staff stressed that even with such a high neutralization rate, every drone that is not intercepted remains a threat to people.
Ukrainians were urged not to ignore air raid alerts and not to share information about air defense operations on social media.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to strengthen air defenses, improve methods for detecting and destroying targets, and expand capabilities to counter new threats, including jet-powered strike drones.
