        Two men were detained in Poland for tearing down the flag from the Ukrainian consulate in Przemyśl

        Polish police detained two local residents aged 21 and 23 in Przemyśl. They are suspected of tearing down the Ukrainian flag from the building of the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine on Sunday, October 26.

        This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to the spokeswoman for the police in Przemyśl, Karolina Kowalik.

        “In connection with this case, the police identified and detained two men, residents of Przemyśl aged 21 and 23. The case materials have been transferred to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Przemyśl,” the police reported.

        As reported by Ukrinform, unknown persons tore down the Ukrainian flag installed at the entrance to the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in the Polish city of Przemyśl. This was reported by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Bodnar on October 27. According to the diplomat, this is at least the fifth act of desecration of the flag in the same place this year.
