The Russian military launched two missile strikes on the centre of Balakliya in the Kharkiv region, according to the head of the city administration, Vitaliy Karabanov.
He said the strikes hit near apartment buildings.
A little later, Karabanov clarified that three people were killed in the attack. Another 10 were injured, including three children born in 2011, 2007 and 2010.
The head of the city administration clarified that nine of the victims were hospitalised, while one person is receiving outpatient medical care.
‘Unfortunately, reports of possible casualties continue to come in,’ Karabanov added.
