At least three people were injured in the Zaporizhzhia region after another wave of heavy Russian strikes on July 19, local police reported. According to the statement, the Russian army carried out 457 attacks targeting the regional centre and surrounding towns and villages.
Overnight, Russian forces launched 13 Shahed-type attack drones and fired two salvos from multiple rocket launchers at the city of Zaporizhzhia and nearby areas. A 69-year-old woman was injured by shrapnel. The blasts damaged private houses, apartment buildings and civilian vehicles.
Outside the regional capital, airstrikes, drones, MLRS and artillery targeted Malokaterynivka and Bilenke in Zaporizhzhia district; Prymorske, Kamianske and Plavni in Vasylivka district; as well as Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Olhivske, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Chervona Krynytsia, Shcherbaky and Charivne in Polohy district.
In Prymorske, an FPV drone strike injured two women aged 64 and 73. Both were hospitalised. Their house sustained facade damage and shattered windows.
Police registered 23 reports of damage or destruction caused by the attacks. Investigators, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), rescue workers and other emergency services worked at the sites to collect evidence of war crimes. Criminal proceedings have been launched under Article 438 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code, which covers violations of the laws and customs of war.
