During a conciliation council in the Verkhovna Rada, where factions and committees gathered to discuss the agenda for the plenary week, it turned out that no faction except Servant of the People is currently voting for the 2026 budget. However, the presidential faction does not have enough votes to hold a vote, as it has approximately 120 of the 226 votes required, according to ZN.ua, citing MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

In addition, it became known that the opposition is again going to block the podium in the Rada this week. “At least two factions (the European Solidarity and Batkivshchyna) are publicly demanding a complete reboot of the government and a general purge of the authorities. Poroshenko’s European Solidarity and Tymoshenko’s Batkivshchyna are also demanding a meeting with Zelenskyy on international issues. And there is a feeling that other groups + part of the Servant of the People will now join this position,” Zheleznyak wrote.

The European Solidarity party recently blocked the podium of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the day when deputies planned to vote on the resignation of then-Energy Minister Svitlana Grynychuk and former Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko. The opposition demanded that Yulia Svyrydenko’s entire government be dismissed and a new one be formed on the basis of a coalition agreement between political forces. In response, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk simply closed the parliamentary session.
