Today, April 15, the 34th meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine’s Defense in the “Ramstein” format began in Berlin. Prior to the meeting, a meeting was held with the participation of the heads of the defense ministries of Germany, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, and the NATO Secretary General.

This was reported by Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

“Before the ‘Ramstein’ meeting, we held a four-party meeting with Mark Rutte, John Healey, and Boris Pistorius. We expect important announcements regarding aid for Ukraine and the development of joint projects with partners,” Fedorov wrote.

During the opening of the meeting, Fedorov thanked partners for their support and emphasized that Ukraine seeks peace, but diplomacy works only if there is a strong position on the battlefield.

According to him, this winter Russia launched 462 ballistic missiles, nearly 600 cruise missiles, and 27,000 Shahed-type drones at Ukraine. Fedorov noted that the interception rate for cruise missiles reached nearly 80%, and for drones — up to 90%. He thanked partners, particularly Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, and Romania for the Patriot missiles, and the U.S. for the opportunity to purchase interceptors.

Fedorov emphasized that Russia’s losses exceed the pace of its mobilization. Specifically, Russia is losing 254 soldiers per square kilometer, and in the Donetsk region — an average of 428.

“At the same time, we are increasing pressure on Russia’s economy, particularly in the energy sector. We are disrupting logistics, increasing costs, and reducing resources for financing the war,” said Ukraine’s Minister of Defense.

Fedorov reiterated that Ukraine’s priorities remain unchanged: air defense, scaling up drone and missile production, and securing long-range artillery ammunition. Ukraine also plans to present new initiatives to strengthen cooperation with its partners.
