Russian troops continue their attempts to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory. Since the beginning of the day, 57 attacks have been recorded in various areas of the front. The defence forces are holding back the enemy and inflicting losses on them, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The most intense fighting continues in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole directions. In the Pokrovsk direction, the occupiers made 15 attempts to push back Ukrainian troops in the areas of Dorozhny, Bilytsky, Rodynsky, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, Udachny, Molodetsky, and Novopidgorodny. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, there were 20 attacks in the Huliaipole area and towards Dobropillia, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Zelenyne, Varvarivka, and Huliaipole. Five battles are still ongoing. The enemy also carried out air strikes on a number of settlements.
Active combat operations were also recorded in the Kostiantynivka direction, where the enemy carried out nine offensive actions, as well as in the Sloviansk, Lyman, Oleksandrivka and other directions.
In the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 73 shellings of Ukrainian troops’ positions and settlements, including 11 with the use of multiple launch rocket systems.
Shelling of the border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions continues. Ukrainian troops continue to wear down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear.
