German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has arrived in Kyiv for talks on expanding cooperation with Ukraine in the field of defense. One of the main areas of focus will be the joint development of modern unmanned aerial systems with various ranges.
This was reported by ntv. According to Pistorius, the trip to Kyiv was not publicly announced for security reasons.
The minister stated that Germany and Ukraine are strategic partners who “both benefit from cooperation.” According to him, this paves the way for “numerous new projects.”
Pistorius noted that the parties will focus particularly on the joint development of “the most advanced unmanned systems of all ranges,” specifically in the area of deep strike—the ability to strike key targets deep within enemy territory.
“This strengthens the security of our countries,” said the German defense minister.
