The 1279th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. From August 24 to 25, 159 battles were recorded on the front. In the Pokrovsky direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 46 attacks, in the Novopavlivsky direction the enemy stormed 31 times, in the Lymansky direction 20 assaults were repelled.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy launched one missile and 79 air strikes, used one missile and dropped 130 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 4,735 attacks, including 26 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 4,711 kamikaze drones to destroy them.
The aggressor carried out air strikes on the areas of settlements:
- Sumy, Nova Huta, Stara Huta, Sumy region;
- Belogirya, Zaporizhzhia region;
- Naddnipryanske, Lviv, Kherson region.
North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions
In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions over the past day, Ukrainian soldiers repelled ten attacks by the invaders. The enemy also launched 14 air strikes, using 23 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 206 attacks, including one from a multiple launch rocket system.
South-Slobozhansky, Kupyansky, Lymansky and Siversky directions
In the South-Slobozhansky direction, the enemy stormed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine units five times near the settlement of Vovchansk and towards Dvorichanske.
Ten attacks by the invaders took place in the Kupyansky direction yesterday. Ukrainian defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions near Kupyansk, Zapadny, Golubivka and Zeleny Gay.
In the Lymansky direction, the enemy attacked twenty times. He tried to break through the defenses near the settlements of Novyi Mir, Hrekivka, Torske, Ivanivka, Ridkodub, Karpivka and towards the settlements of Seredne, Dronivka, Shandryholove, Serebryanka.
In the Siversky direction, the enemy made twelve attempts to break through in the areas of Serebryanka, Fedorivka, Viimka, Pereyzne and in the direction of Serebryanka.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Pokrovsky directions
In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked six times in the areas of Maisky and Chasovy Yar.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy made five attacks near Shcherbynivka and Rusyny Yar.
In the Pokrovsky direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 46 assaults by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Zatyshok, Nykanorivka, Nove Shakhove, Novoekonomichne, Udachne, Shakhove, Myrolyubivka, Mykolaivka, Sukhetske, Lysivka, Zvirovo and towards the settlements of Rodynske, Novoukrainka, Chervonyi Lyman, Pokrovsk.
Novopavlivskyi, Prydniprovskyi, Orikhivskyi and other directions
In the Novopavlivskyi direction, the enemy carried out 31 attacks near the settlements of Zelenye Pole, Iskra, Vilne Pole, Maliivka, Voskresenko, Shevchenko, Temyrivka – towards the settlements of Filiya, Novomykolaivka, Novogeorgievka and Komyshuvakha.
The defense forces repelled one attack by the occupation forces in the Orikhivskyi direction near the settlement of Prymorske.
In the Hulyaipil and Prydniprovskie directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the past day.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
