On the night of February 12, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of military and industrial facilities of the Russian army, including a GRAU arsenal in the Volgograd region. Explosions, fires, and subsequent detonations were recorded, and the extent of the damage is being assessed.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the area of the village of Kotluban in the Volgograd region, an arsenal for the comprehensive storage of missiles, ammunition, and explosives belonging to the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense, one of the largest ammunition storage sites of the Russian army, was hit. The facility was struck by Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo long-range weapons, followed by powerful explosions and secondary detonations.
In addition, in Michurinsk, Tambov Region, a high-tech equipment manufacturing enterprise for aviation and missile systems, Michurinsk Progress Plant, was hit. According to preliminary information, a fire broke out on the territory, and the results and extent of the damage are being clarified.
Enemy ammunition depots were also hit in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, in the areas of the settlements of Terpinnia and Rozyvka.
It has been separately confirmed that as a result of the attack on February 11 on the Volgograd oil refinery in the Volgograd region, the main ELOU-AVT-1 primary oil processing unit, AVT-3 elements, and infrastructure facilities were damaged. Other units, in particular secondary processing units, have reduced their load or been shut down. The enemy’s losses and the extent of the damage caused are being clarified.
