Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi visited the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration, where Russian troops are attempting to intensify their offensive. He met with commanders of army corps, military units and subdivisions operating in the area, received operational reports and provided instructions to strengthen the defense, logistics and protection of supply and evacuation routes. According to him, Russian claims about allegedly “blocking” Ukrainian troops in Pokrovsk are not true, although the situation remains difficult.

Syrskyi noted that in the city of Pokrovsk, Russian infantry is avoiding direct clashes, dispersing among residential areas, changing positions and attempting to create chaos. Therefore, the primary task is to detect and eliminate these enemy groups. He emphasized the key role of reconnaissance and strike drones in current conditions.

In addition to drone units, assault groups of the Air Assault Forces, Special Operations Forces, the Military Law Enforcement Service, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard and the National Police are conducting strike and search missions in the city.

Syrskyi stressed the importance of strong coordination, proper supply and disciplined execution of orders. He warned commanders of all levels against irresponsibility and stated that he will take strict measures, including personnel dismissal, if necessary.

He issued instructions on improving logistics and specifically increasing the protection of supply and evacuation routes. A number of other operational decisions were also adopted. According to Syrskyi, all decisions are made promptly and based on a balance between objectives and capabilities, with the main priority being the preservation of Ukrainian soldiers’ lives.

The Dobropillia operation continues. According to Syrskyi, Ukrainian assault units have advanced by another 200 to 550 meters in certain areas. Since the start of the operation, 186.8 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory have been liberated and 246.8 square kilometers cleared of Russian sabotage groups.

Syrskyi thanked all soldiers, sergeants and officers who continue to destroy the enemy and carry out their missions professionally. He noted that Ukrainian forces are holding back the Russian offensive by all available means and will continue working toward the common goal.
