Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi visited military units carrying out combat missions in the Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Kostiantynivka sectors.
He announced this on his social media accounts.
During the visit, he received briefings from brigade commanders and a border guard unit commander on the current situation, enemy actions, and the level of logistical support for the units. Following the meetings, the necessary decisions were made and instructions were issued.
Syrskyi paid particular attention to the Kostiantynivka direction. He heard a report from Brigadier General Oleksandr Bakulin, commander of the 19th Army Corps, on the operational situation in the sector and around the city of Kostiantynivka.
According to the Commander-in-Chief, Russian forces continue to apply constant pressure, benefiting from a manpower advantage and disregarding their losses.
“The enemy is attempting to advance in small assault groups, searching for weak points in our defenses and increasing the intensity of attacks. We detect these intentions in a timely manner, conduct active defense operations, and inflict significant losses on the enemy,” Syrskyi said.
During the trip, he awarded drone operators from the 3rd Border Guard Detachment for their effective combat performance and contribution to eliminating Russian occupying forces.
The Commander-in-Chief also thanked servicemen of the 19th Army Corps, the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, and the 156th Separate Mechanized Brigade for their professionalism, resilience, and dedication in carrying out combat missions.
He separately commended soldiers of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, who have been defending Chasiv Yar for more than two years.
