Showman and YouTuber Jake Paul claimed victory over former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson by unanimous decision in a fight held Friday night in Arlington, Texas, according to CNN.

The match took place at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, with 72,300 fans in attendance. Paul controlled the fight and won by unanimous decision with judges’ scores of 80-72, 79-73, and 79-73.

With this win, Paul secured his 11th professional career victory, including seven by knockout, and became the sixth fighter to defeat a Hall of Fame inductee during his career.

The early rounds were relatively calm as both fighters assessed each other’s styles. In the third round, Tyson increased his aggression, landing several quick punches. However, Paul responded with well-placed shots that appeared to surprise the former heavyweight champion.

The 58-year-old Tyson began to show signs of fatigue as the fight progressed. Paul maintained control, using combinations and effective jabs to keep Tyson at bay. Although Tyson displayed bursts of energy in the later rounds, they did not pose a significant threat.

Friday’s event was Netflix’s first live boxing broadcast, featuring a lineup of seven exciting fights. However, viewers on social media reported streaming issues throughout the evening, including buffering, lags, and loading difficulties.

According to DownDetector, around 90,000 viewers experienced disruptions in the hour leading up to the main event. Some users shared images of frozen screens and spinning loading icons, mentioning the need to restart the app to continue watching the fight.
