Today, February 4, Russian troops struck the city of Druzhkivka in Donetsk Oblast with aerial bombs and cluster munitions. They hit a local market, killing seven people and injuring 15.

This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.

The Russians fired cluster munitions at the frontline town, targeting the market, where there is always a large crowd of people in the morning.

“This is another deliberate war crime and further proof that all Russian statements about a ‘ceasefire’ are worthless,” Filashkin said.

Initially, six people were reported dead and one injured. Later, the number of victims rose to seven.

“At least seven people between the ages of 43 and 81 were killed. Fifteen people between the ages of 50 and 72 were injured,” he said.

Emergency services are working at the scene to provide assistance to the victims and clean up the aftermath of the shelling.

The Russians also dropped two aerial bombs on Druzhkivka, damaging an industrial zone, three high-rise buildings, and three private houses.
