The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) carried out another successful special operation against Russian occupiers in the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to the agency, on the night of 27-28 June, SBU drones attacked the Kirovskoye military airfield.

According to the special service, the locations of aviation equipment, air defence systems, ammunition depots, as well as enemy reconnaissance and strike drones were accurately hit. Three Russian helicopters — Mi-8, Mi-26 and Mi-28 — were destroyed, as well as a self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and gun system Pantsir-S1.

It is known that secondary detonations continued at the airfield after the strike.

The SBU emphasised that it is working systematically to reduce Russia’s ability to carry out air and bomb strikes on Ukraine. ‘The occupiers must understand that their expensive equipment is not protected anywhere — neither on the front line, nor in the temporarily occupied regions, nor deep in their rear,’ the special service stressed.
