President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine and its partners must continue pressure on Russia until Moscow is forced into real negotiations. According to him, dissatisfaction is already growing inside Russia over the fact that its war against Ukraine has “no end in sight.”

Zelenskyy made the statement in his evening address.

“A majority in Russia is already making a claim against Putin that his war has no end in sight,” the president said.

According to Zelenskyy, the current difficulties faced by Russians should bring them closer to understanding that the war against Ukraine is not something abstract or accidental.

“It is not just ‘stones from the sky,’ and their war must end,” he said.

The president stressed that real negotiations are needed, and that Ukraine has already put forward all proposals for this.

Zelenskyy also thanked the units carrying out strikes against Russian forces and military targets. He said Ukraine has established strong work on weapons production — both domestically and together with partners — for long-range strikes and “fair responses” against the occupier.

Separately, the president highlighted the Security Service of Ukraine’s Alpha Special Operations Center. He said that on Alpha Day, he presented its fighters with state awards.

According to Zelenskyy, Alpha is now the leading unit in terms of strikes against the enemy, accounting for at least 20% of Russian forces hit on the front.

The president also reported meetings with the diplomatic team on international events planned through August. He said the main task is to ensure that Ukraine receives air defense systems exactly as needed and exactly as partners have promised.

“The air defense delivery schedule is the key schedule for Ukraine and the personal responsibility of diplomats in every area of this cooperation with our partners,” Zelenskyy said.

He also said Ukraine is working to implement the agreements reached at the recent G7 summit and is preparing for international events this week.

Zelenskyy said he discussed with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko the tasks for the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which will begin in Gdansk. Svyrydenko will lead the Ukrainian delegation at the event.

The president stressed that constructive relations with Poland are important and thanked the partners who prepared substantive proposals for the meeting in Gdansk.
