        Russians attacked Sumy region with drones: woman killed, four people injured

        On the night of August 26 to 27, Russian forces attacked the Romny community in Sumy region with drones. A 66-year-old woman was killed when a residential building was hit, and four more people were injured.

        This was reported by Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Oleh Hryhorov.

        “The Russians launched nine UAVs at the community. Some of the drones were destroyed, but, unfortunately, civilian infrastructure facilities were hit,” the statement said.

        A 66-year-old woman was killed in the strike on a residential building. Four more people sought medical assistance.

        Police clarified that women aged 69, 63 and 75, as well as a 69-year-old man, were injured.

        In total, over the past day, Russian forces carried out 48 attacks on 22 settlements in Sumy region, using guided aerial bombs, artillery, mortars and various types of UAVs.

        In the Bilopillia community, a man was injured in a drone strike.

        In the Sumy community, a 27-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man sought medical assistance after being injured in a UAV strike on August 21.

        In the Seredyna-Buda community, a 71-year-old woman was admitted to hospital after being injured in a mortar attack on August 24.
