Last night, Russian troops carried out a massive attack on civilian, critical and logistical infrastructure in several regions of Ukraine. The regions of Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Odesa, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk and others were targeted.
According to Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba, the enemy targeted energy facilities, substations and thermal power plants. In some regions, water and heat supply was temporarily suspended due to damage to infrastructure.
In the Odesa region, heat and water supply was partially suspended due to power outages, while restoration work continues in the Sumy region. According to the official, all services are working continuously, and actions are being coordinated at the regional and central government levels to restore water and heat to people as quickly as possible.
In addition, Russian drone strikes have caused damage to railway infrastructure in Donetsk, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Chernihiv regions. There were no casualties, as the workers were in shelters, train traffic is ensured, and restoration work is ongoing.
