The 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is holding the defence on this section of the front, reported active attempts by Russian troops to encircle Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad and create so-called ‘claws’ in the Pokrovsk agglomeration area. This information is also confirmed by the Ukrainian OSINT project DeepState.
According to available data, enemy drone launch sites have been detected in the northern part of Pokrovsk, and infantry is being transferred to the city. At the same time, Russian forces are trying to penetrate Hryshyne from the north-western outskirts of Pokrovsk, where enemy buildup and fire contact have already been recorded. In addition to attempts to advance from Pokrovsk, attacks are also being carried out from Kotlyne, but there they are being blocked and destroyed.
It is reported that the enemy has managed to occupy the settlement of Rivne and is putting pressure on the neighbouring village of Svitle. Consolidation in this area creates conditions for further accumulation of forces and a possible advance into the isthmus between Pokrovsk and Rodynske, which increases the risks for the Defence Forces units in the vicinity of Myrnohrad.
It is noted that the situation in Mirnograd itself is deteriorating, and events in the area of its defence are approaching the final stage. An update of the map of hostilities in this sector is expected.
