The 1155th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. From April 22 to 23, the Armed Forces repelled 144 enemy attacks. The occupants are attacking most actively in the Pokrovske direction, where 53 attacks were repelled over the day.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Over the past day, the enemy launched 125 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, dropping 242 drones. In addition, it carried out 6019 attacks, including 150 from multiple launch rocket systems, and engaged about 2800 kamikaze drones.
The aggressor carried out air strikes on areas of populated areas:
- Boyaro-Lezhachi, Petrushivka, Ugroids, Miropilske, Prokhody in Sumy region;
- Pokrovsk, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Sukhyi Yar, Zorya, Vodyane, Hrodivka, Krasny Yar, Oleksiivka, Novopavlivka, Bahatyr, Novopil, Oleksandr-Kalynove, Yablunivka, Yalta in Donetsk region;
- Bilyakivka, Dnipropetrovska oblast;
- Zaporizhzhia, Gulyaypole, Novodarivka, Lobkove, Kamianske, Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia region;
- Ivanivka, Kherson region.
Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Lyman and Siversk directions
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy tried four times to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian troops in the area of Vovchansk.
Three attacks took place in the Kupyansk sector yesterday. Ukrainian defenders repelled the enemy’s assault in the areas of Zahryzove and Nova Kruhlyakivka.
The enemy attacked in the Liman sector 14 times. He tried to break into the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense near the settlements of Kolodyazi, Nadiya, Novomykhailivka and in the directions of Olgivka, Hlushchenkove and Novosergiyivka.
In the Siverskyi sector, the enemy made three attempts to advance in the areas of Hryhorivka and Verkhnekamianske.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Pokrovsk sectors
In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupants attacked six times in the areas of Stupochky, Bila Hora and towards Mayske.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 13 attacks in the areas of Dachne, Druzhba, Toretsk and in the direction of Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 53 aggressor’s assault actions in the areas of Berezivka, Kotlyarivka, Preobrazhenka, Novoukrainka, Shevchenko, Vodyane Druhe, Malynivka, Yelizavetivka, Lysivka, Udachne, Uspenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Nadiivka, Troitske, Andriivka, as well as in the directions of Novopavlivka, Romanivka, Stara Mykolaivka, Myroliubivka, Novomykolaivka.
Novopavlivka, Orikhove, Kursk and other directions
In the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy carried out 17 attacks in the areas near Kostiantynopil, Pryvilne, Novosilka and in the direction of Oleksiivka and Odradne.
In the Orikhivsk sector, the occupation forces advanced five times on the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove and Pyatikhatky.
The enemy did not conduct active offensives in the Huliaypillia and Prydniprovia sectors.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue operations in the Kursk region. Yesterday, the enemy carried out 15 air strikes, dropping 36 unmanned aerial vehicles, and fired 344 times, seven of which were from multiple rocket launchers. Ukrainian defenders stopped 22 invaders’ assault actions.
