On May 7, a Russian drone struck a civilian car in the Stepanivska community of the Sumy region. The driver was injured as a result of the strike.
This was reported by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleg Grigorov.
The strike caused a fire, and the car was destroyed.
“The driver wasn’t inside — he had just stepped out to get some coffee. That’s what saved his life,” Grigorov said.
The man sustained injuries and was hospitalized. Information regarding other casualties is being verified.
Also the day before, on May 6, another Russian drone struck a civilian car on a road in the Berezivka community. A 76-year-old man was injured. In the Novoslobodsk community, a 53-year-old man was killed when a Russian drone struck a residential building.
