        Russia strikes passenger train at railway station in Sumy region: casualties reported

        Today, October 4, Russian forces struck the Shostka community in the Sumy region. The railway station was hit.

        This was reported by Ihor Kalchenko, head of the Sumy Regional State Administration.

        “The enemy deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure – a passenger train running between Shostka and Kyiv,” the statement said.

        Passengers were injured as a result of the strike on the train. The number of wounded is being clarified.

        Rescuers, medics, and all emergency services are working at the scene, and an operational headquarters is being set up. People are being provided with the necessary assistance, and the rescue operation is ongoing.
