Russian troops struck Odessa port with two ballistic missiles. One port worker was killed and eight civilians were injured in the attack. Four of them are in critical condition.
This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kipper, and the Minister of Community and Territorial Development, Oleksiy Kuleba.
The attack also damaged the engine room, smashed windows and doors in administrative buildings, and destroyed vehicles and equipment.
‘It was a normal working day in a normal Ukrainian port. People were working, equipment was loading containers. There were no military facilities — only civilian infrastructure. Russia has once again struck a peaceful, strategically important facility that is vital to global food security,’ Kuleba wrote.
In total, since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has damaged or destroyed nearly 400 pieces of port infrastructure and more than 30 civilian vessels. As a result of the shelling, 106 civilians have been injured.
