        Russia strikes medical facility in Kyiv: one person killed

        During the night of January 5, Russian forces carried out another attack on Kyiv. In the Obolon district, one person was killed after a strike hit a medical facility, with others injured.

        According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, a four-storey medical facility in the Obolon district was hit at the level of the second floor, where an inpatient department was operating. The fire was extinguished, and during an inspection of the premises rescuers found the body of the deceased.

        Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko said that people were evacuated from the building damaged by the attack. As of the morning, one person has been confirmed dead, the number of injured has risen to two, and another woman received medical assistance at the scene. A total of 25 people were evacuated.
