Police assist stranded drivers as sudden snowfall hits Mykolaiv region

A sudden snowfall that hit the Mykolaiv region today has significantly disrupted traffic, affecting both major roads and local communities. The unexpected weather brought slippery conditions and reduced visibility, catching many drivers off guard. According to local police, some motorists who had already switched to summer tyres found themselves stuck on hills and unable to continue driving.

Police officers have been actively assisting drivers — helping to push vehicles, clear paths, and manage traffic flow in affected areas.

“The regional hydrometeorological centre forecasts that the blizzard will persist across Mykolaiv region during the first half of the day,” the police reported.
