Poland has forcibly deported 15 Ukrainian citizens. They were taken to the border and handed over to the Ukrainian side, RMF24 reports, citing the Polish Border Guard.

According to the agency, these individuals posed a threat to security and public order. They had been repeatedly prosecuted for theft, robbery, document forgery, drug possession, drunk driving, and organising illegal border crossings.

In one case, a Ukrainian citizen was on the list of persons whose further stay in Poland was deemed undesirable.

The decision was based on legislation on foreigners, in particular an article providing for expulsion in cases where their stay threatens the security or defence capability of the country.

The expelled citizens were banned from entering Poland for a period of 5 to 10 years.
