As of 4:00 p.m. on July 20, Ukraine’s General Staff reports 56 combat clashes along the entire front line.
In the north — specifically the Northern-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions — the enemy launched nine attacks, with five clashes still ongoing. Russian forces dropped six guided aerial bombs and carried out 111 artillery strikes targeting Ukrainian positions and civilian settlements. Communities in Sumy region — Yizdetske, Popivka, Bratenytsia, Chernatske, Bunyakyne, Malushyne, Novovasylivka, Bila Bereza, and Maryine — came under fire.
In the Southern-Slobozhansky direction, an attack continues near Vovchansk. In the Kupyansk sector, two enemy assault attempts were recorded near Kindrashivka and Kupyansk itself.
In the Lyman sector, the Russian army launched eight assaults in the areas of Karpivka, Kolodyazi, and towards Serebryanka, with three battles still ongoing. In the Siversk direction, the enemy attacked twice near Vyiymka and Hryhorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled an assault near Predtechyne.
In the Toretsk area, Ukrainian forces are holding back the enemy near Dyliivka, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, Toretsk, and Katerynivka — five assaults were recorded, with two clashes still underway.
The Pokrovsk direction remains the hottest. Since the start of the day, Russian troops have made 17 attempts to break through Ukrainian lines in the areas of Poltavka, Udachne, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Zvirove, Novopavlivka, Orikhove, Oleksiivka, Pokrovsk, and Myrnohrad. Ukrainian forces have already repelled 14 assaults.
In the Novopavlivka sector, 11 attacks were repelled near Yalta, Myrne, Tolstoye, Voskresenka, Maliivka, Zelene Pole, Temyrivka, and Novopil.
In the Hulyaipole, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovske directions, the enemy did not conduct ground assaults but carried out airstrikes on Plavni, Prymorske, and Odradokamyanka.
