An oil depot at the Kerch Commercial Port is burning in occupied Kerch after a nighttime Ukrainian attack. A fire was also recorded at Port Kavkaz on the Russian shore of the Kerch Strait.

Based on video footage, ASTRA OSINT analysts established that the oil depot of the Kerch Commercial Port on Tamanska Street in Russian-occupied Kerch is on fire.

The oil depot of the Kerch Commercial Port is located less than 1 km from the section where the Kerch Bridge connects with the shoreline.

The facility is used for storing and transshipping petroleum products, including fuel oil and diesel fuel, through the Kerch Strait. This fuel terminal supplies vessels with fuel and services the Crimea–Kavkaz ferry crossing.

Port Kavkaz is also burning on the Russian shore of the Kerch Strait. The fire was detected using NASA Firms, a satellite service that tracks thermal anomalies.

Port Kavkaz can receive road and rail ferries and is one of the largest passenger ports in Russia.

On March 14, an attack on Port Kavkaz in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai was reported. Three people were injured at the time, and a vessel was damaged.
