On the night of July 9, residents of Russia’s Tver region reported explosions. A fire broke out in Tver after the attack, and OSINT analysis of eyewitness footage indicates that the Tvernefteprodukt oil depot caught fire, ASTRA reported.

After analyzing videos and photos from eyewitnesses, it was established that the Tver oil depot of LLC SO Tvernefteprodukt was burning. It is located in Tver, in the Elevator settlement, at 29 Bochkina Street.

This is the main oil depot of Tvernefteprodukt, a subsidiary of Russia’s Surgutneftegas. The company is engaged in receiving, storing and dispensing light petroleum products, including motor gasoline and diesel fuel.

Tvernefteprodukt also supplies its own network of 52 filling stations and carries out wholesale deliveries across the Tver region.

Later, the head of the region confirmed the attack on the oil depot. According to him, last night in Tver, “as a result of repelling a UAV attack,” one of the reservoirs at the Tver Oil Depot facility caught fire.

He said he was working at the scene, where a headquarters had been set up to coordinate measures to eliminate the consequences of the incident and ensure the facility’s further safety.

According to the head of the region, the fire was localized by Russian emergency services. Preliminary information indicates that there were no casualties among civilians or facility personnel.
