Ukrainian troops have liberated the village of Novokhatske in Donetsk region from Russian occupiers. The settlement is located near the administrative border with Dnipropetrovsk region. This was reported by the 37th Separate Marine Brigade, according to Militarnyi.

The settlement was liberated thanks to a joint operation by fighters of the 37th Separate Marine Brigade and the 79th Separate Tavria Air Assault Brigade.

“Step by step, despite enemy resistance and dense mining, the marines and paratroopers completed the assigned task. The enemy was driven out of its positions, suffered losses and retreated,” the post said.

Novokhatske is located between the Vovcha and Mokri Yaly rivers on the border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

As a reminder, in late June, assault troops of the 425th Regiment drove out Russian occupiers who were trying to seize the settlement of Kozacha Lopan and the village of Hraniv in Kharkiv region.

The unit reported that Russian forces had been trying to build up troops in Kozacha Lopan.
