Information about the possible cancellation of the 2025 Rosh Hashanah celebration in Uman is not true.
This was reported to Suspilne by Anastasia Baryshnikova, PR director of the International Charitable Foundation named after Rabbi Nachman of Breslov.
Earlier, the media outlet “The Times of Israel” reported that Ukraine allegedly “will not allow the Rosh Hashanah celebration in Uman this year for security reasons” and that Kyiv supposedly demands financial compensation from Israel for security arrangements.
Baryshnikova denied these reports: “The information is not true. We had an unofficial meeting with the State Emergency Service, the police, and the SBU. We are already discussing preparations for Rosh Hashanah 2025, and another meeting will take place soon. The celebration will take place, there is no cancellation. In the pilgrimage area, no one knows about this. The Israeli leadership and the police also have not received such information. Therefore, this information is very strange, it may be planted. Officially, we deny the cancellation of the celebration.”
The foundation has already contacted the media that spread the false information, but no comment was received.
