Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia on the evening of July 3, hitting a residential area. Eight people were injured in the attack. The strike was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

Before the attack, authorities warned of the threat of guided aerial bombs against Zaporizhzhia region and the city itself. Explosions were heard in the region at around 10:30 p.m.
After the strike, Fedorov initially reported that a woman had been injured. According to preliminary information at the time, people may have been trapped under the rubble.
On the morning of July 4, officials said the number of injured had risen to 8. Two of them are children.
A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were injured. Two women and four men aged between 20 and 66 were also hurt.
All the injured received medical assistance.
According to the regional administration, Russian forces struck the city at around 11:00 p.m. The consequences of the attack on the residential area are still being clarified.
