New details about the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have surfaced online ahead of their expected launch in September 2026. Rumored upgrades include a smaller Dynamic Island, satellite 5G support, and Apple’s new 2nm processor.

        MacRumors reported this.

According to the publication, Apple may move part of the Face ID system under the display. This is expected to reduce the size of the Dynamic Island, although the company reportedly does not yet plan to fully hide the system beneath the screen.

The iPhone 18 Pro models could also arrive in new colors, including Dark Cherry, Light Blue, Dark Gray, and Silver.

Among the technical upgrades, sources mention Apple’s upcoming A20 Pro chip built on TSMC’s 2nm process. The chip is expected to provide better performance and power efficiency.

MacRumors also says the devices may feature LTPO+ displays for improved battery life and Apple’s upgraded C2 modem.

According to rumors, the C2 modem would allow the iPhone 18 Pro to support satellite-based 5G internet access without cellular coverage or Wi-Fi.

Another rumored upgrade is a variable aperture for the main 48-megapixel camera, which could offer better control over depth of field and light intake.

Apple is also expected to simplify the Camera Control button by removing touch sensitivity and haptic feedback.

The report additionally mentions a redesigned rear Ceramic Shield area around MagSafe with a more frosted and seamless appearance.

MacRumors adds that Apple could unveil a foldable iPhone alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup later this year.
