On the night of 1 February 2025, the Russian occupiers launched a massive combined strike on the territory of Ukraine, using various types of missiles and attack drones. This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In total, radio technical troops detected and tracked 165 air targets, including:
🔹 7 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (from the TOT of Crimea and Voronezh region of the Russian Federation);
🔹 7 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
🔹 8 X-22/X-32 missiles from Tu-22M3;
🔹4 Kalibr missiles from the Black Sea;
🔹8 X-101/X-55 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS;
🔹10 X-59/X-69 missiles from tactical aircraft;
🔹2 X-31P missiles from the Black Sea;
🔹 123 Shahed strike drones and imitators.
Anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defence Forces were involved in repelling the attack.
According to preliminary data, 56 Shaheds were destroyed, while another 61 UAVs failed to reach their targets. Some of the enemy cruise missiles were shot down by air defence systems, and a significant number failed to hit their intended targets due to active countermeasures by the Defence Forces.
Unfortunately, there were hits. An X-22 missile hit a residential building in Poltava, and a ballistic missile strike on the historic centre of Odesa caused significant damage. The enemy also attacked energy infrastructure and industrial facilities in Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi and Kyiv regions.
