Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that the U.S. has violated part of the terms of Tehran’s 10-point proposal. According to him, in such a situation, a ceasefire and negotiations are pointless.

This was reported by Clash Report.

Iran presented a 10-point proposal as a basis for negotiations to end the war. However, according to Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, three of its points had been violated before negotiations began.

Specifically, this concerns the failure to comply with the condition regarding a ceasefire in Lebanon, which was supposed to take effect immediately and apply to all regions. A violation of Iran’s airspace was also recorded—a drone was shot down in the city of Lar in Fars Province.

Furthermore, Iran asserts that its right to enrich uranium, as provided for in the framework agreement, has been denied.

“Thus, the very ‘effective basis for negotiations’ was openly and clearly violated even before the talks began. In such a situation, a bilateral ceasefire or negotiations are pointless,” the statement reads.

As a reminder, Iran and the U.S., along with Israel, had previously agreed to a two-week ceasefire after more than a month of hostilities. At the same time, the parties expressed differing views on its terms, and Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz in response to Israeli strikes on Lebanon, while the U.S. demanded its reopening.
