From April 2 to April 3, Russia carried out a combined strike against Ukraine, using 579 aerial attack assets. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 26 missiles and 515 drones, accounting for more than 93%.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
In total, radio-technical troops of the Air Force detected 579 aerial attack assets:
- 10 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (launch areas – Kursk and Rostov regions);
- 25 Kh-101 cruise missiles (launch area – airspace over the Samara region);
- 2 Iskander-K cruise missiles (launch area – Rostov region);
- 542 strike UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types, launched from Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as Hvardiiske and Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea (over 330 of them were Shahed drones).
The aerial assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
As of 14:00, air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 541 targets – 26 missiles and 515 drones of various types:
- 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
- 2 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- 515 UAVs of various types.
Impacts of 11 missiles and 27 strike UAVs were recorded at 20 locations, as well as debris from downed drones falling at 22 locations.
