Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Kharkiv at dawn. The Kholodnohirskyi district was hit the hardest, with dozens of strikes, fires, and at least five people reported injured.
During the night of June 10, Kharkiv came under a massive attack by enemy drones. According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the first strike by a jet-powered Shahed drone was recorded in the Kholodnohirskyi district, where a fire broke out.
Later, the mayor reported about 20 strikes on the Kholodnohirskyi district within several minutes. The attacks caused fires, while information about the consequences was being clarified.
Strikes were also recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi and Kyivskyi districts of the city. According to updated information from the Kharkiv Situation Center, the strike in the Shevchenkivskyi district hit a forest belt and caused no destruction or casualties.
As of 05:30, the Kharkiv Situation Center had recorded 18 enemy strikes. Seventeen Shahed-type attack drones targeted the Kholodnohirskyi district, while one more strike was recorded in a forest belt in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
At the same time, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov reported that the enemy had launched a total of 26 UAV strikes on the city at dawn. The Kholodnohirskyi district was under the heaviest attack, and fires broke out as a result of the strikes.
Initially, one injured woman was reported. Later, the number of casualties increased. Among them were women aged 68, 81, 35, and 42, who were diagnosed by medics with acute stress reactions.
According to the latest information from Ihor Terekhov, the number of injured people in the Kholodnohirskyi district has risen to five. Emergency services continue to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
