        Russia attacks port infrastructure in Odesa region, damaging foreign vessel and injuring four

        Russian forces attacked port infrastructure in Ukraine’s Odesa region overnight on August 17. A civilian vessel was damaged in the strike, and four people were injured.

        The attack was reported by Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper.

        The damaged vessel was sailing under the flag of the Republic of Togo. Three of the injured were hospitalized, with one person in critical condition. All victims are receiving medical treatment.

        The attack also sparked fires at the port infrastructure site. Emergency crews have fully extinguished them.

        The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
