Emergency power outages have occurred in Kyiv, as in many other Ukrainian cities. Metro services have been suspended due to low voltage in the power grid.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said that underground metro stations can currently operate as shelters. The stations are supplied with backup power.

At the same time, the Kharkiv Metro announced that train service on the metro lines had been temporarily suspended for technical reasons. After 40 minutes, train service on the Khododnoga-Zavodska metro line resumed, but with temporarily increased intervals of 25-30 minutes.
