        Kyiv declares day of mourning today

        Kyiv has declared July 7 a day of mourning in memory of the victims of the enemy’s most massive attack on the capital.

        Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this.

        Flags will be lowered on all municipal buildings across the city. Authorities have also recommended lowering national flags on state-owned and privately owned buildings in the capital.

        All entertainment events are banned in Kyiv on July 7.

        Search and rescue operations continued throughout the night in the capital after the Russian strike on the night of July 6, which killed 19 people and injured 58 others, including 7 children.

        This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

        In the Podilskyi district, 8 people were killed. The work is ongoing.

        In the Darnytskyi district, search and rescue operations have been completed. Eleven people were killed there. Rescuers dismantled and removed 300 cubic meters of building structures and debris. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 77 people.

        A total of 183 rescuers and 99 units of equipment from the State Emergency Service were involved in eliminating the consequences at this location. Emergency repair and recovery work continues there.
