On the night of 16 April, powerful explosions were heard in Kursk – locals counted at least 20. Russian authorities say that nine people were injured in the strike, and another woman was killed.
According to the mayor, fires broke out in the city after a residential high-rise building was hit, and residents were evacuated.
The regional administration also reported damage to an ambulance garage, with 11 vehicles destroyed. The Russian side blames Ukraine for the attack.
