        June 25 is declared a day of mourning in Dnipro: death toll rises to 15

        A missile strike on Dnipro on June 24 killed 15 people and injured more than 175. June 25 was declared a day of mourning in the city.

        This was announced by Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov and the head of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration Serhiy Lysak.

        More than 2,000 windows in residential buildings and public institutions were damaged in Dnipro, almost 50 high-rise buildings, including roofs, and a large part of the private sector were damaged.

        The Novokodak district administration has already received about 400 applications from residents. About 40 educational institutions – schools, kindergartens, lyceums, vocational schools – and eight medical infrastructure facilities, including hospitals and outpatient clinics, were also damaged. Among other things, transportation facilities were damaged – three trams, overhead power poles, and a depot.

        Also damaged were the Kaidak pumping and filtration station, 16 district and neighborhood boiler houses, the Right Bank Social Security Department, the Church of Peter and Paul, an organ hall, the Ice Arena, a gas station, a penal colony, a bakery, an industrial plant, district administrations and the State Treasury.
