        On the night of April 21, a powerful explosion occurred at the CET Vest thermal power plant in Bucharest. The massive fire has been partially brought under control.

        Late Monday evening, a powerful explosion was heard in western Bucharest. The fire broke out at the CET Vest thermal power plant and was initially accompanied by open flames.

        According to the Department of Emergency Situations, two transformers caught fire, with the main challenge being the burning of approximately 30 tons of oil. Firefighters extinguished the flames using water and foam.

        Later, rescue workers reported that the flames had damaged a total of three electrical transformers. The fire was partially brought under control, and the open flames were extinguished.

        On the morning of April 21, firefighting efforts were scaled back. Five pieces of equipment remained on site to monitor and cool the area.
