Russian troops have intensified pressure in the border areas of the Sumy region, however, there is no threat of encirclement or “partial encirclement” of the city. This was reported by analysts from DeepState, who refuted claims circulating online.

According to them, the enemy is attempting to form a buffer zone along the border, gradually advancing in small infantry groups, including sabotage and reconnaissance units. At the same time, Ukrainian forces are repelling assault attempts involving both light and heavy equipment, and these attacks have not led to significant changes in the situation.

Fighters of the 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade and the 71st Separate Airmobile Brigade repelled another series of enemy attacks. It is noted that the enemy tried to act in various ways, including using pipes for movement, but these attempts were unsuccessful.

Analysts emphasize that the key threat remains the gradual infiltration of infantry into border areas. Through such actions, the enemy seeks to gain a foothold in the “gray zone” and establish control over territories near the border.

At the same time, no significant changes have been recorded in the north of the Sumy region, although Russian forces continue to build up numerical superiority and exert pressure for further продвижение into the depth of the territory.
