Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region near the village of Mala Loknya successfully stopped an attack by North Korean special forces. During the battle, the commander of a DPRK special forces company was eliminated.
The operation resulted in the seizure of unique materials that shed light on the specifics of the North Korean military’s activities in the war against Ukraine.
Among the items found were forged documents, communications equipment, weapons and equipment. The most valuable find was the personal diary of a DPRK lieutenant colonel.
Journalist Yuriy Butusov published a video of the North Korean officer’s “unpacking” and described the key differences between the training of North Korean special forces and Russian infantry.
Recently, the Ukrainian Defense Forces captured two soldiers from the DPRK in the Kursk region.
Usually, Russians and other North Korean military personnel finish off their wounded and do everything they can to prevent evidence of another state, North Korea, from participating in the war against Ukraine. However, a soldier of the Tactical Group No. 84 of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and our paratroopers managed to successfully capture them.
