Iran simultaneously launched ballistic missiles at Israel, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. Explosions were reported across the region, and several countries temporarily closed their airspace.
This was reported by Clash Report, citing statements from the parties involved and international media.
According to CNN, Qatar intercepted at least two Iranian missiles over its territory. Doha had earlier closed its airspace, and the U.S. Embassy in Qatar issued a “duck and cover” warning to American citizens due to an incoming missile threat.
Sirens were activated in Bahrain, where explosions were reported by Al Arabiya. Smoke was seen rising from the Juffair area in Manama, which hosts a U.S. Navy base. Bahrain later said that the service center of the U.S. Fifth Fleet was subjected to a missile attack.
Explosions were also reported in Abu Dhabi (UAE), where, according to CNN, missile interceptions were taking place. The UAE temporarily closed its airspace. Reports later mentioned a loud explosion in Kuwait, as well as unconfirmed reports of blasts in Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
Reuters cited an Iranian official as saying that all U.S. bases and interests are within Iran’s reach. The agency also reported that Iranian officials were the main targets of the first wave of U.S.-Israeli strikes.
The Israel Defense Forces said the Iranian regime has not abandoned its plan to destroy Israel and stated that the Air Force continues to strike across Iran based on precise intelligence. According to N12, Israel is also striking in Iraq.
Reports indicated that about 20 U.S. and Israeli fighter jets were flying over Daraa to carry out strikes on Iran. Iran also activated its air defense systems in Tehran.
