On March 2, Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said that Tehran has no intention of negotiating with the US. According to him, the actions of US President Donald Trump have led to an escalation of the situation in the Middle East and further losses among American military personnel.
Ali Larijani wrote about this on social network X.
“We will not hold any negotiations with the United States,” Larijani wrote on social media.
He added that US President Donald Trump, with his “false hopes, has plunged the region into chaos” and “is now concerned about further losses of American soldiers.”
“With his deceptive actions, he has turned the slogan ‘America first’ into ‘Israel first’ and sacrificed American soldiers for the sake of Israel’s quest for power,” the post said.
Earlier, in an interview with The Atlantic, Trump said that after the US-Israeli strikes, Iran’s leadership wants to negotiate, and he intends to respond with agreement to the proposal for dialogue.
