        Hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles: the Air Force revealed how Russia attacked Ukraine

        On the night of 21 July, Russian occupation forces attacked Ukraine with 24 missiles of various types and 426 drones.

        Air defence forces destroyed 224 targets, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

        The enemy launched:

        • 426 attack drones;
        • 5 Kh-47 ‘Kinzhal’ aeroballistic missiles;
        • 4 ‘Kalibr’ cruise missiles;
        • 1 ‘Iskander-K’ cruise missile;
        • 14 Kh-101 cruise missiles.

        The air defence forces managed to neutralise 224 weapons, including 200 drones and the vast majority of missiles. This means that 203 drones did not reach their targets.

        The Air Force recorded 23 strike UAVs hitting three locations, as well as downed targets falling in 12 locations.


        At night, Russian troops carried out a massive attack on several Ukrainian cities. Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Kharkiv were hit.

        In the capital, strikes were recorded in several districts — Shevchenkivskyi, Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Solomianskyi. One person was killed and six others were wounded as a result of the shelling.

        Ivano-Frankivsk suffered the most powerful strike. According to the mayor, facilities in three villages of the community were damaged, and three residents were slightly injured.

        In Kharkiv, the enemy launched at least 11 strikes using Geran-2 strike drones.
